Ok so I know I haven't updated in awhile and I apologize but I have been a littly busy....if you know what I mean. : ) haha ok anyway last Tuesday we played in the championship game and WON!! We are the Ultimate Intramural Champions of 2008! I am still so excited about it! We really had the best team and it was SO much fun! All of us got along so well and had a blast and we won in the process! We recieved an amazing t-shirt (which is why we wanted to win in the first place) and the title of Ultimate Champions. I am so sad that it's over and especially since it is getting so cold we won't really be playing at all which absolutely stinks! I don't know what I am going to do with my life. ; )

For some reason everyone was like scared of the camera or something so Michelle and I had to make up for that! : )

Halloween!

Yeah I'm not really in to the whole Halloween thing but it was pretty fun this year! I like the cute kind of stuff just not all the haunted scary part of it. So let me just say thanks again to Kylie for dragging me to the Haunted Forest! ; ) It was actually pretty fun because we were laughing a lot. Anyway so my auntie is so awesome! Yes you! : ) She puts out in her front yard all these gravestones for how everyone in her family died and this year she made one for me!! I was so excited when I saw it! Thanks Auntie! : )

On Halloween we had an Ultimate game (our 3rd Tournament one) and we won!! We are now in the top 4 and hopefully we can make it to the championship! That would be so awesome! After the game Michelle and I (Michelle broke her ankle by the way) got invited to like 3 parties....yeah we are popular like that.... but basically ditched out on them because we had a coupon for some chex mix and we were kind of craving that! : ) Yeah I know we are dorks! We did actually go to one of our friend's parties and it was a lot of fun! There were a lot of pretty good costumes and some crazy people so it was good. So then we just went back to her apartment and ate some check mix and watched Transformers and yeah it was pretty fun! Nothing all that crazy but it was good!

Ok so tonight we played our 2nd Tournament game and won! It was so awesome! We have been playing really well lately and on Friday we go into the elite 8 double elimination tournament! I am so excited because we could actually win the championship! I can't help it but this game is so amazing! : ) I am pretty much obsessed and could play all day long! I took some in-action shots the last few practices and got some good ones!

I just thought I would show the aftermath of the game. It is so worth it! and most of the time if i get beat up I at least make the catch which makes the pain that much sweeter! : ) It's all about the sacrifice!

Crazy Busy!

Sorry everyone for the lack of updated stuff! I have been going none stop with school and everything else! I have had a pretty exciting couple of weeks though! Last weekend I was able to go to conference! Angela sent me some tickets that she got from her stake and I was so excited! It was such an incredible experience! The conference center is gorgeous and just being there I was able to feel the spirit so strong! Then when president Monson came in the place went silent and everyone was on their feet. It was so awesome! The talks were really good too and I definitely found some things that I need to work on!

Yesterday was our big Homecoming game against New Mexico and just as expected we won! It was a pretty good game! And as usual it was a lot of fun! It got so freezing at the end though! I couldn't feel my fingers at all! Luckily Michelle and I are really close so we didn't mind cuddling up to help warm ourselves up! : )

In other news.....a couple Friday's ago I went on a date with this guy on my ultimate team. He is definitely one of the best players and he is hilarious! His name is Sheldon and the date was way fun! We carved a pumpkin and wrote this random "story" and then left it on Michelle's doorstep, knocked on the door and ran. It was pretty funny! The best pumpkin I have ever seen too! We were just lauhing the whole time about random things and how I am pretty much the biggest clutz/ditz that ever walked the planet! : )

It Finally Came! : )

Well today has been absolutley wonderful! I was able to get all my homework done pretty early and I got all my errands done....and oh yeah.....I GOT MY FIRST LETTER FROM JARED!! : ) I am so excited right now! I was just getting so anxious to hear from him and I was on the verge of marching down to the MTC and demanding a letter! haha It has been kind of torturous with him literally right down the street! But anyway I was just wanting to know how he was doing and if he was liking it and stuff. I have been checking the mail everyday for a week and.... nothing. I checked today and never have I been so excited to see a white envelope!! : ) I ran up to my apartment and read it and yes I started crying a bit but they were good tears!

He is doing so well! He loves it and is enjoying every minute! He said that his companion is amazing and that they get along really well, which is good. He told me about how busy his days are but he loves the spirit that he feels constantly and all that he is learning. We are kind of in similar situations; We are both learning SO much and we both love it! : ) He really likes his teachers and said that he finally got to excercise on Saturday! I am just so happy for him! He is doing exactly what he needs to be doing and he has the right attitude and I am just so excited for him! He did mention that he still thinks about me which is kind of

comforting. : ) Just that he is not all depressed about being away from home and that he can just think of all the good times we have had and press forward with the work he needs to do. I will keep you all updated!

Born Ultimate!!

WOO HOOOO!!! I am so excited right now because we just played our first ultimate frisbee game and WE WON!! And it was such a good game too! You play to 12 or 45 minutes (whichever comes first) and we were down the whole time practically. It was a little intimidating at first considering they are an all guy team and they were all wearing red. It was 2 to 6, them, at half time and we knew we needed to "get our heads in the game" so to speak! : ) We kept getting one here and there but they kept scoring as well.

We finally got it up to 8 /10 and there were 6 minutes left. We just needed 3 more and then hang on to the lead for a few minutes! We were definitely losing steam by now after running hard back and forth trying to block their guys. I don't know what happened but all of a sudden we just got a burst of energy and we were passing good and blocking and getting to the frisbee. There is this one kid Brandon who has some major hops and he is our MVP I would say! You just chuck it in his general direction and he will get there man on or not! So there was about 2 minutes left and it was tied 10 to 10. We were throwing it off and just trying to keep our heads straight and get this last point before time was up. We blocked it from them and then it was our final chance to score. We were making short passes down the field and then all of a sudden Brandon is wide open in the end zone so Bryce just throws it right at him with all he's got and he leaps in the air and we won the game!! It was so amazing and such an exciting game! We were all so excited and we were cheering so obnoxiously afterwards because we were just so surprised that we actually came back and won it! It was like we won the gold medal in ultimate or something and it's just our first game! I am really excited for the other ones! We have one every week for about the next month or so! oh yeah and our team name is Born Ultimate!...Yeah it's awesome! I love this place!

My Place

Alright well I finally have gotten my room all figured out and so I thought I would post some pictures so that everyone could see my room and everything. My room is quite a lot smaller than I had imagined it to be before getting here, so things are a bit cramped but I guess I will get used to it! The picture below is what is on our entertainment center when you first walk in. Yeah we made those. : )

This is what is on the outside of my door. Ashlee brought this back for me from Disneyland. I added the border and the flower just to give it a little something extra.

This is the view from my door. As you can see everything is nicely packed together. It took me so long to figure out how to fit my keyboard in my cracker jack box of a room but I finally did it! I of course can't ever open my closet door but hey as long as I have my piano I am good! : )

I of course can't go anywhere without my painting (compliments of Angela) and fairy! That's what makes my room, my room! This is just my closet. I have a few pictures of Christ. The doors are like accordian style and so they open out and so you can see how my keyboard is in the way.




This is just a closer look at my bed. I just wanted to point out that I made my comforter! : ) It took a few days to do but with my aunts help I was able to put it together and i love it! You can't really tell but it is also quilted around the blocks with little daisys on each corner. It was my first time actually making and quiliting a quilt so it is pretty exciting! Probably one of my favorite parts of my room is my picture of Jared and I to the right of my bed. you can't really tell either but I have this little Cinderella glass slipper replica that is in front of the picture and it just looks so cute! : )


This is my desk. It is smashed up against my bed and I know it doesn't really look like it but I literally have to climb into my chair in order to sit down because it doesn't pull out far enough for me to just sit. Yeah that's fun to do. Ashlee thinks it is hilarious everytime I go to use my computer or something and she hears me making noises as I try to squeeze in there or a crash and then "OW" if I just so happen to fall over in the process. And no the drawers on the right side are not part of my desk. That is indeed my nightstand that would not fit anywhere else. I had to get creative. The main focus was on the keyboard! : )

This is my wall to the left of my bed and it is filled with my New York painting, my temple and Hawaii pictures and then of course in the corner is my I Love Lucy antique that I got from Ashlee (my sister). As you can probably tell I love pictures and frames and art and stuff so it wasn't difficult to fill up this wall! And I still have other pictures that I wasn't able to put up anywhere because there wasn't enough room.

This is just a closer look at the top of my desk. I got this new Laugh statue thing just before I left and I love it! I have all my pictures of friends and stuff and then my Princess snowglobe that Jared got for me and then on my wall on the right is my little Jared shrine I guess you could say! haha I just had all these pictures and so I got a little creative with the ones of us I guess and mounted them in these frames and then I put some of his notes that he has written to me around them. I think it looks pretty cute and it just makes me smile when I glance over and read some of the things in his notes. : )

So that is it! I am thinking that I might be taking some stuff home over Christmas break considering that most of it doesn't really fit all that great. Oh well that's all part of college life right? Anyway, tomorrow starts the second week of classes and so far they have been AMAZING so I am pretty excited! I will keep everyone updated on how things are going!

Rise and Shout...

Well school starts tomorrow and I am so excited! I just love how the classes can be related to the gospel and I love all of the classes that I am taking! It should be so great! I'm sure I will have a ton of homework with taking 5 classes but that's what college life is like right? Anyway so all the rumors that I have heard about The Branbury being a party place and stuff seem to be pretty much right on. : ) It just kind of seems like everyone is just into the social part of things and not really a big spiritual group which is kind of a bummer but there are still some really good people. Anyway so I had my first Ultimate practice today and I loved it! I could just play that game all day and night! It's amazing! I will keep you all updated with how thee games go and everything!

Michelle, Rachel and I went to the first game of the season on Saturday! It was so awesome!! We have really good seats too for the season! I pretty much have no clue most of the time what is going on ( i guess i will just have to ask some guys around me ; ) ) but I just love the whole atmosphere of BYU spirit and everyone is so pumped and everything! So here are some pictures from that!

And so it begins...

Alright well Ashlee, Michelle, and I have finally all made it up to BYU! Michelle and I drove up yesterday and it took us about 11 hours. And yes I have to admit that I received my first EVER speeding ticket! I was so scared and I almost started crying! But it's all good, I will never speed again. : ) Anyway so yesterday I was so frustrated and just overwhelmed with everything. I was running around taking Michelle to her apartment and then to Wal-mart so Ash and I could get stuff for our bathroom and then to my aunt Terri's to get my boxes. I was so exhausted! I finally got home and realized that I didn't have any sheets so I had to sleep on my quilt that I made and then fold it over the top of me. Yeah......I recommend not doing that. ; )I was just feeling so stressed and was a little homesick and I am still trying to get used to the fact that I won't get to see Jared for 2 years. But everything went a lot better today and I was able to get more organized and put stuff where it belongs and just realize that once I get into my routine of things everything will be just fine. I will post some pictures of our apartment and my room and everything once it is all done. It is a pretty nice place and we have done some cute stuff with it! Well I need to get up early for another fun filled crazy day so that's all I have for today. I just wanted to let everyone know that we got here and I am so excited for the next couple years! And I also wanted to thank everyone who has helped me get to this point in my life. I will try and post more tomorrow and I will be sure to keep everyone updated while I am up here! GO COUGARS! : )

Naughty Will!

Alright so last week when my sister Ashlee was still here we were over at our sister Drea's house and Drea was sleeping and Jason was gone. So it was just Ashlee, Will (the cat), and I. Let's just say that the three of us have never really gotten along that well. For some reason Will can't stand it when we are over. He swats at our feet when we are just walking around and if we try to play with him or pick him up he goes for the kill and tries to bite us sometimes. I am kind of warming up to him but for some reason on this particular Sunday he was a bit crankier than usual. He started biting at us left and right and we were scared out of our minds! I got the squirt bottle and was trying to get him to go in the laundry room but he freaked out and went and hid in the curtains. Ashlee remembered that he hates bags so she went with that idea....and well, you can see the rest. : )

Angela likes to say please, thank you, and excuse me to P.J.(my dog) so I thought I might try that approach. : )

He never went into the laundry room but he backed off and we all went to neutral corners! : )

Photo Shoot

My sister Angela is starting up with photography and has gotten a lot of practice while visiting. Even though she will deny this, she had the idea to take pictures of Jared and I. I liked the idea because I want a good picture of us before he leaves for Kentucky on his mission! Anyway so we went to a park nearby and she just took some pictures of us. I think they turned out pretty good!

I think he was pointing out his new friend on the wall....nasty mcCockroach, so I don't really know why I am smiling! ; )

She got a kick out of making me jump in the air and climb up the wall so she could take pictures!

I admit it was a tad on the awkward side but we ended up laughing a lot and it turned out good! Thanks Ang and keep up the good work with your photography! : )

Disney Mania!

Last weekend some of the girls in my ward and I had a Disney party! It was a lot of fun! We watched Disney movies and pigged out on some good stuff! : ) We made a few trips in the middle of the night to keep ourselves awake. We went to taco bell, QT, and a nearby park. It was awesome! Megann, Emily, and I spent half the night taking random pictures of ourselves and Chelsie and Rachel refused to come and join the fun as they were "quite comfortable on the couch" as they put it!

When Rachel got there later than everyone else we decided to welcome her with a little surprise! : )
Poor Lil' Megann.....she was standing right behind Emily when Rachel got there and since she is so short her little arm barely made it over Emily's head starting this little quarel! : ) haha so funny!
